Scan n’ Sweat
We’ve been having so much fun creating collateral materials for Bikram Yoga East Edmonton, we decided to take it a step further. The company needed something to quickly and efficiently monitor client traffic. The solution? Scannable key tags. They’re small and practical, and, as we’ve discovered, fun to create.

All Sprung Out
Now that we’ve completed the 2012 Spring in the City Guide for City of Edmonton—Community Services, we can officially welcome spring. The comprehensive guide hit City shelves last month and provides a summary of courses and workshops on everything from songwriting to carpentry. The best part—it’s got something for everyone: children and youth, families and adults. Pick up a copy at one of many locations around the city, or download the PDF version now.

Check out our new team page!
Not long ago, we took a hard look at our website and agreed there was something missing. We had the work covered, but the people behind it weren’t getting any credit. We decided to give ourselves some added exposure by building a team page. Check it out and put some faces to our work.

Flurry projects that 24% of all Android and iOS device activations for March will happen in China.
What does this mean? It means that China is now the largest market for smartphones and smart devices, surpassing even the United States.
What else does it mean? It means you better start localizing your app content.

We’ve got words
What do ad geeks love more than a great copy-driven poster? The opportunity to create one. A strong headline paired with some fun typography can be just as effective as a striking image; and recently, we got a chance to play around with some cool combinations of words and type. Check out the posters we designed for Cover to Cover Used Book Market.

The Brick Home 2.0
Starburst has been producing The Brick Home magazine for the past three years, and we decided it was time to leverage the content online. We wanted to try a new sales approach that combined the “ooohs” and “ahhhhs” of magazine style with the instant convenience of the web. Email seemed like a natural progression—it’s quick and accessible.

Show and Tell: Print Ad Edition
We had a blast conceptualizing and designing a series of print ads for our client, Westcorp Hotels. You’re likely familiar with their Edmonton hotels—Matrix downtown,Varscona and Metterra in Old Strathcona. If you’re flying WestJet anytime soon, there’s a good chance you’ll catch a version of this ad in up! Magazine.
